2024-M-082 Re: Award of Integrity Commissioner Contract

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of Temagami receives memo 2024-M-082, regarding Award of Integrity Commissioner Contract;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council consider a By-law to enter into a contract for Integrity Commissioner Services with the recommended respondent.

2024-M-086 - Literacy Network

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami hereby receives memo 2024-M-086

  AND FURTHER THAT Council authorize staff to receive calls for the literacy program and pass personal information on to the Temagami Public Library staff for their coordination and administration of the Literacy program.

2024-M-087 - Agreement with THU for Municipal Community Safety and Well-Being Plan

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council the correspondence from the Timiskaming Health Unit dated April 17, 2024 regarding Agreement with THU for Community Safety and Well-Being Plan;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council agree to participate in the 2-year service agreement, to facilitate coordinator recruitment and retention, at an annual cost to Temagami of $3,242;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council authorize and direct the Mayor to sign the agreement for the period of August 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026.

2024-M-092 - Recommendation to Amend ECA to retain Ecofix Technology in Temagami North Lagoon

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami hereby receives Memo 2024-M-092;

  
  AND FURTHER THAT Council approves the proposed amendment to the ECA to include the BIOFIXE Modules and request that OCWA commence the process.

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the Temagami EarlyON request for free use of space for EarlyON programs for 2024;

  AND FURHTER THAT Council approve the request as presented.

Emergency Management Ontario re Municipality of Temagami-Compliance results-2023

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the Correspondence from Emergency Management Ontario regarding the Municipality of Temagami Compliance results for 2023;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to contact Emergency Management Ontario regarding the compliance results for 2023;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to commence working on the compliance requirements in order to achieve compliance for 2024.

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 24-1736, being a by-law to appoint an Integrity Commissioner, be taken as read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 9th day of May, 2024;

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby receive report 24-M-065; and

  FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to assist with a social media post from the Mayor regarding the campaign.

NOTICE OF MOTION

14.1

Development of a Public Info Session Protocol

• Draft Motion:

  WHEREAS at the April 11, 2024 Regular Council Meeting, Councillor Jo-Anne Platts put forward a Notice of Motion to develop a public information session protocol that would guide staff for future info sessions;  

  THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council direct staff to draft the protocol and bring it back to Council at a future meeting for review.
