2024-M-128 - Joint Lake Temagami Access Point Committee

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accept the Lake Temagami Access Point AdHoc Committee Terms of Reference as presented.
  AND FURTHER THAT regular monthly reporting is presented to Council on the progress.

2024-M-139 - Temagami Forest Management Corporation Board Nominee

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorize the Mayor to send a letter to the Temagami Forest Management Corporation nominating Cathy Dwyer for the vacant Board position.

9.3

2024-M-143 - CBO Recruitment Options

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the CBO Recruitment memo;
  AND FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to advertise for both a part-time CBO and a full time MLEO/CBO, all while reaching out to neighboring Municipalities to determine if there are opportunities to share services;
  AND FURTHER THAT Staff investigate the costs and availability of CBO Contractors for the interim and report back with the results at the next regular meeting.

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council hereby receives this information and directs staff to conduct a survey about available options from the residents who directly impacted/benefited from Fox Run Road.

2024 Ontario Senior Achievement Award

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council direct staff to advertise a 2 week call for nominations for the 2024 Ontario Senior Achievement Award.

Letters to Mayor and Council - Stevens Road & Fox Run Road Conditions

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council direct staff to provide responses to the residents of Fox Run thanking them for bringing forth their comments and concerns;

  AND FURTHER THAT Staff include that Council has passed the budget for the 2024 fiscal year, and has directed staff to continue investigating alternate options and grant opportunities to resurface Fox Run;

Letter to Mayor and Council - Mine Access Road Condition

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the correspondence regarding the Lake Temagami Access Road;

  AND FURTHER THAT Staff be directed to send a reply thanking them for submitting their concerns and that staff and Council will continue to investigate ways to improve the conditions of our roads.

Letter to Mayor and Council - Mine Landing Landfill Area

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the correspondence regarding signage for the waste transfer station and recycling at the end on the Lake Temagami Access Road;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council forward the correspondence to the Lake Temagami Transfer Station AdHoc Committee for further investigation and recommendations back to Council

2024-M-138 - Temagami Chamber of Commerce - Donation Request

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the request to waive the rental fees for the Community Centre Hall and Kitchen for the Wild Game Dinner on November 9th, 2024 from the Temagami Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber of Commerce - Request Letter

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the request letter from the Chamber of Commerce and direct staff to consult with Living Temagami and bring information back to a future meeting.

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the Operational Plan from OCWA;

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 24-1765, being a by-law to appoint a By-Law Enforcement Officer, Property Standards Officer, Animal Control Officer and Municipal Weed Inspector for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami, be taken as read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 12th day of September, 2024;

  AND FURTHER THAT the said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and recorded in the by-law book.
