    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Working Session Agenda dated March 27, 2025 be adopted as presented.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the TREDCO report presented by Cathy Dwyer.

  • Draft Motion:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives Memo 2025-M-065 as presented;
    AND FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council enacts By-Law No. 25-1807, which repeals By-Law No. 23-1659 and all its amendments.

  • Draft Motion:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives Memo 2025-M-066 as presented;

    AND FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, in accordance with By-Law No. 25-1801, the Municipality of Temagami does not issue proclamations for external organizations or events, and therefore, the request is respectfully declined.

  • Draft Motion:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council receives Memo 2025-M-067;

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Council directs staff to initiate the procurement process by seeking Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for the intervention measures outlined in the Temagami North Water and Sewage System Capacity Report, including the following:

    • Immediate Actions (0–2 Years): Implementation of leak detection, sewer inspections, and public education initiatives.
    • Medium-Term Actions (3–5 Years): Upgrades to SCADA systems and improvements to stormwater management.

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT these proposed actions and RFP outcomes be brought back to Council for further review and decision on subsequent steps.

  • Draft Motion:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council receives Memo 2025-M-068 as presented;

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Council hereby accepts the Cost Optimization Partnership Proposal from Schooley Mitchell and authorizes the CAO to execute the necessary agreement, and to take all further actions required for its implementation.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council receives Memo 2025-M-070 as presented;

    AND FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the enactment By-law No.1809 to regulate Short-Term Rental operations within the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives Memo 2024-M-071 as presented;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council consider a By-Law for the execution of the Transfer Payment agreement for the Housing Enabling Core Services Fund (HECSF) for the Fox Run Road rehabilitation project later in this Council meeting.

  • Draft Motion:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives Memo 2025-M-072 as presented;

    AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council commits to allocating $43,018 in municipal funding to support the upgrades to the Temagami Community Centre;

    AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council acknowledges that an additional $200,000 in external funding through NOHFC will be pursued for the rehabilitation project;

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives memo 2024-M-073;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council rescinds the deferred resolution included in Memo 2025-M-058 dated March 13, 2025, regarding the Crown land acquisition process;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council approves replacing it with a new resolution authorizing the Municipality to apply for Crown land acquisition strictly for existing municipal uses and industrial expansion, subject to the condition that any associated costs will be presented to Council for consideration before proceeding further.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the correspondence from the North Eastern Public Health Unit for information.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 25-1807, to establish rules governing the meetings and proceedings of Council and its committees, including the calling of meetings and conduct of Members, Staff, and the Public, be taken as read a first, second, and third time, and finally passed this 27th day of March, 2025;

    AND FURTHER THAT the said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and recorded in the by-law book.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 25-1808, to govern the selection, appointment and term of the Deputy Mayor for the Municipality of Temagami and to outline their roles and responsibilities, be taken as read a first, second, and third time, and finally passed this 27th day of March, 2025;

    AND FURTHER THAT the said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and recorded in the by-law book.
