• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami hereby approves the recommendation to advertise the board position as outlined in report 2024-M-103.

2024-M-104 - Temagami Public Library - Story Walk - TD Summer Reading Club Program

• Draft Motion:

  That Council approve the use of municipal grounds, such as the waterfront, arena grounds and/or trails, and properties, such as occasional use of lights, et cetera, for Temagami Public Library StoryWalk “events”.

2024-M-105 - Temagami Community Market Location

• Draft Motion:

  That Council receive Memo 2024-M-105 re Market Relocation;

  And further that Council hereby approves the use of municipal grounds for both the relocation of the Community Market and space for a storage container to replace the shed the market has traditionally used beside the tracks.

2024-M-107 - Curbside Recycling Decision 

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami hereby approves the recommendation in Memo 2024-M-107 to opt out of the Curbside Recycling Program.

• Draft Motion:

  THAT Council receives the Planning Report 2024-M-110 dated June 13, 2024, respecting Zoning By-law Amendment Application No. 24-01; and, 

  THAT Council considers By-Law No. 24-1742 being a By-law to amend Zoning By-law 06-650, as amended.

  AND FURTHER THAT the said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and recorded in the by-law book.

By-law 24-1742 - ZBLA 24-01 for 72 Lake Temagami Island, Unit 981 - Camp Wabun

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 24-1742, being a by-law to to amend the zoning provisions which apply to the lands located at RW88 & CL13510, Being Part of Island 981 in Lake Temagami (Garden Island) Camp Wabun Limited, be taken as read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 13th day of 2024;

  AND FURTHER THAT the said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and recorded in the by-law book.

2024-M-098 - MOU Agreement

Deferred from May 23, 2024 working meeting

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami receives Memo 2024-M-098;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council approve the document and direct staff to send the document to the TFN and TAA for their review, recommendations, and approval.

2024-M-106 - Economic Development Corporation

• Draft Motion:

  That Council receive Memo 2024-M-106;
  And further that Council approve the attached documents “Bylaw of TREDCO v3 as of April 2, 2024 - final draft” and “TREDCO Financial Agreement with Municipality draft v4 April 2”; 
  And further that Council consider a municipal by-law to authorize the incorporation of the Temagami Region Economic Development Corporation.

NOTICE OF MOTION

14.1

Motion by J. Koistinen re Investigating Development Charges

• Draft Motion:

  Whereas the Province of Ontario permits Municipalities to impose development charges to pay for increased capital costs required because of increased needs for services arising from development;
  And whereas the Municipality of Temagami does not currently have development charges, but Council deems it appropriate to investigate this potential revenue stream;
  Now therefore be it resolved that Council direct staff to provide Council with a report regarding what fees can be charged, when and how they can be applied, and what expenditures they can be used for.
