  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report 2023-M-224 Regarding Chief Elliott’s plan for retirement at the end of 2023.

   

  AND FURTHER THAT Council thanks Chief Elliott for his dedicated service and commitment to the Marten River Fire Department and Community.

   

  AND FURTHER THAT staff come back with recommendations on recognition for Paul and recommendations on how to replace this position.

Firearms By-law 1707

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive report 2023-M-220 regarding a proposed firearms by-law;

  AND FURTHER THAT a by-law be considered later at this meeting.

Christmas Holiday Hours

Office Closure

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorized the Municipal Office be closed from the end of the business day on December 22, 2023 to the beginning of the business day on January 2, 2023.

TCF Fall Funding

Application 

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the request to be a flow through qualified donee for:

  • The Temagami Family Health Team – For an Autoclave Machine
  • Temagami Public School – Funding to pay for transportation for educational and cultural outings.

   

  AND FURTHER THAT the organization receiving the funds be responsible for providing the Municipality with all receipts and expenses related to the purchases for reporting purposes.

   

  AND FURTHER THAT Council approve the application from the Temagami Police Services Board’s for a second Speed/Radar Sign on a Trailer

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby direct staff to forward this information to the 'Police Services Board' for their feedback.

Seniors Christmas Dinner

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby receive the request from the Temagami Lions regarding the Annual Seniors Christmas Dinner;

  AND FURTHER THAT the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby direct staff to wave the arena rental fees for the December 10th event;

  AND FURTHER THAT the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby approve a donation of $________ to cover the costs of the refreshments.

  AND FURTHER THAT the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby direct the Municipal Clerk to send correspondence to Mr. McCrank accepting the Draft Tender as presented/amended.

  AND FURTHER THAT the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby direct the Municipal Clerk to provide a letter of support to Ms. Cote.

• Draft Motion:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby pass a resolution to permit the transfer of Parcel 16263, Parcel 29350 and Parcel 29349 from David and Janet Manning to Courtney Hathway; and,
  FURTHER THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami does hereby pass a resolution to require the Section 118 restriction to continue to apply to Parcel 16263, Parcel 29350 and Parcel 29349.
